Johnny Depp's best film hair-do is coming back! The actor, who recently split from beau of 14-years, Vanessa Paradis, is reprising his title role from Edward Scissorhands...in cartoon form!

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Depp will return to his role from the 1990 Time Burton film in an upcoming episode of Fox's hit animated comedy, Family Guy.

Depp's role in the episode for season 11 of the animated series is only a brief cameo. He is expected to appear in one of the cutaway gags featured frequently on the show.

When he was in the booth, he said that he felt like he hadn't done that voice since he did it in front of the camera, Family Guy executive producer Mark Hentemann revealed to EW. He was able to snap right back into Edward Scissorhands once we pulled up a clip from the movie...He was amazing - and demonstrated extraordinary patience with all the fawning women in our office who swarmed him.

The Tim Burton movie grossed over $87 million when it was released in 1990. Edward Scissorhands told the story about a young man with scissors for hands that had been created by the inventor, and then taken into a suburban family after years of living in solitude.

Season 10 of Family Guy featured a long list of guest stars, including Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley's daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, Smash star Katharine McPhee, actress Cate Blanchett, comedian Ricky Gervais, Juno actress Ellen Page, Arrested Development's Judy Greer, Blake Lively's main squeeze, actor Ryan Reynolds and many more.

Family Guy's 11th season kicks off on Fox on September 30.
