Dexter left fans on the edge of their seats when they ended their sixth season with Deb discovering Dexter's dark secret. Thanks to Comic-Con the suspense no longer needs to kill you, because the Dexter panel on Thursday released the first two minutes of the season seven premiere!

Season seven of the Showtime thriller picks up right after Dexter's step-sister Deb finds out that he is a killer.

The two minute clip begins with Deb's gun pointed at Dexter. Deb gets Dexter to start explaining why a man is saran wrapped to a church alter with a knife sticking out of him. The clips reveals how Dexter tries to talk himself out of the incriminating situation to Deb, along with what he does when she places a call into the police station.

After the clip, Dexter's Michael C. Hall discussed the opening scene with fans at their Thursday panel.

The big question after watching the clip is: Does Deb believe Dexter's story?

He hopes so in that moment, explains Hall. Meanwhile Jennifer Carpenter, who plays Deb added, She's taking it one step at a time.

As for how Deb's discovery will affect their somewhat incestuous relationship? Deb does realize that she has romantic feelings for her step-brother.

There was certainly a fascination that I thought Deb had with Dexter, so it didn't feel like it was so bizarre to play that last season, discussed Carpenter. I think his stabbing somebody trumps those thoughts.

Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter return to their roles when Dexter's seventh season kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 30 on Showtime.
