Police are investigating a computer hacking scandal that has reportedly resulted in leaked nude photos of a rising young pop star.

Authorities in Vancouver have confirmed that they in the process of pursuing the person responsible for hacking into singer Carly Rae Jepsen's computer and allegedly stealing personal photos, ABC News reports.

Jepsen, a Canadian born recording artist who is riding out the success of her No. 1 Billboard hit "Call Me Maybe," is reportedly cooperating with police as they continue with investigation that began in mid-March. Authorities have made no arrests in the case so far.

While Jepsen's camp has yet to comment on the status of the active police investigation, Jepsen, 26, did reach out to her fans on Twitter to deny a different sex scandal.

"Crazy morning. Discovered that someone put up a sex tape claiming to be me. Ridiculous. Obviously not me," Jepsen tweeted July 23.

Jepsen is just the latest celebrity in a string full of stars to fall victim to hacking scandals.

Just last year, the FBI intervened when Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and a reported 50 other celebs had her computers hacked by Christopher Chaney.

The feds accused Chaney of hacking into the emails and cell phones a large number of celebrities beginning in December 2010 and then posting the racy photos on the internet.

The Florida man eventually pleaded guilty to nine felony counts including unauthorized computer access and wiretapping after the as part of a plea agreement ironed out with prosecutors.
