After Odd Future member Frank Ocean came out with an account of his first love, a male, this month, responses to the rhythm-and-blues singer's acknowledgment of his sexuality have been overwhelmingly positive. With one notable exception: Chris Brown, another R&B singer who made a homophobic comment about Ocean on Friday.

According to FACT, Brown was asked about his opinion of Ocean by a paparazzo on Friday outside a nightclub in Cannes, France, and Brown responded, "Man, no homo."

Chris Brown made himself infamous by beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, and the 23-year-old singer has been a magnet for bad press ever since.

Chris Brown's comments come as the latest in a series of attacks on Frank Ocean in particular as well as in a series of homophobic remarks in general.

In June of last year, Chris Brown's cousins attempted to chase down Ocean in LA, according to one YouTube video, and Brown once attempted to get "#homothug" trending on Twitter as an attack against B2K rapper Raz B, according to FACT.

Brown also attracted noteriety for getting into a fistfight with Drake at a New York nightclub last month. It appears Brown just can't play nice with others.

Brown's "no homo" comment was made in reference to Frank Ocean's heartfelt admission of his sexuality. Ocean posted a lengthy account of a homosexual love on his Tumblr page July 3, detailing that his "first love" was another man.

Here's an excerpt: "[Four] summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide. Most of the day I'd see him, and his smile. I'd hear his conversation and his silence ... until it was time to sleep. Sleep I would often share with him. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping, no negotiating to the women I had been with, the ones I cared for and thought I was in love with."

Odd Future's ringleader, Tyler, The Creator, posted a message of support for Ocean the day after the Tumblr post appeared online, tweeting: "My Big Brother Finally F---ing Did That. Proud Of That N---a Cause I Know That S--t Is Difficult Or Whatever. Anyway. Im A Toilet."
