Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS) said it has reached an agreement with Deccan Charters Ltd. of Bangalore, India, that appoints their Mumbai facility as an authorized Customer Service Center (CSC) to support the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter platform.
SAS is the aftermarket division of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.
David Adler, president of Sikorsky Aerospace Services, said "We are very pleased to provide in-country aftermarket support services. Aligned with our international strategic initiatives and overall commitment to our worldwide customers, this agreement serves as an important launch point in India."
The Mumbai Customer Service Centre will offer Sikorsky S-76 helicopter operators complete aftermarket support including Sikorsky trained local maintenance personnel for on-site comprehensive maintenance management, inspections and spare-parts procurement.
