Gabby Douglas is racking up fans left and right -- and a handful of them just happen to be part of "The Vampire Diaries" family! The 16-year-old Olympic medalist has been receiving support from the cast and crew of the hit CW supernatural drama.

On Aug. 2, "The Vampire Diaries" executive producer Julie Plec tweeted: "Love watching #TVDFamily rally for @gabrielledoug." Judging from the gymnast's response, she was ecstatic to be on the receiving end of some "Vampire Diaries" loving.

Douglas tweeted back: "@julieplec Awww thank you soo much!!! Btw this is one of my FAVORITE SHOW[S]! #TheVampireDiaries #Guessappearance? Lol :) <3"

According to Zap2it.com, Douglas might just get the guest appearance she was hoping for. Plec reportedly replied, "You let us know when you're free and we'll see what we can do!"

Besides a cheerful Twitter exchange and the possibility of doing some butt-kicking flips in a future episode, Douglas also received a personalized video from some of the cast members of "The Vampire Diaries."

The video for Gabby Douglas features Nina Dobrev (Elena/Katharine), Ian Somerhalder (Damon), Paul Wesley (Stefan), Michael Trevino (Tyler) and Claire Holt (Rebekah).

"Hi Gabby," the cast members exclaim to the gymnast. "We heard you're a big fan of 'The Vampire Diaries,'" Wesley continues, with Holt and Somerhalder stating that "All of us are big fans of you too." The cast continued to congratulate Douglas and the rest of the U.S. Women's team on their gold medal.

"We want to wish you and Ally good luck on Tuesday," Dobrev tells the girls, referring to the remaining event finals. "We're really pulling for you here at Mystic Falls."
