'How I Met Your Mother'
Season nine of "How I Met Your Mother" will return to CBS on Sept. 23. CBS

"How I Met Your Mother" kicks off their eighth season on Sept. 24, and we have more details on what to expect of the premiere episode!

Bits and pieces of the new season have been leaked while the show took its summer break, but with the premiere episode quickly approaching more photos and more gossip have been spilling. Judging season eight by what we know, it looks Legend - wait for it - ary.

It's been previously revealed that the season eight premiere will feature some footage of Barney's future wedding to Robin. Executive producer Craig Thomas revealed to Entertainment Weekly that fans will be shocked with the premiere, which will feature "the deepest flash forward into that monumental wedding day of Barney and Robin."

A photo released by EW shows part of what Thomas is talking about when he says that he hopes to "blow [fans] minds."

The still from the premiere episode shows Marshall and Lily dressed to impress in wedding attire, trying to pull a fleeing Barney from the window. If Barney does manage to leave Robin at the altar, that definitely would be a mind blowing moment.

Besides an interesting photo, Gather.com also has an episode description for the season eight premiere, which is called "Farhampton." According to the site, "Robin's anxiety on her wedding day to Barney prompts Ted to recount the time he insisted on leaving Victoria's jilted fiancé a note before they drove off into the sunset."

The brief plot synopsis for episode one gives some more insight into Ted's doomed relationship with Victoria, something that won't be immediate when the new season begins. Since Ted is telling Robin the story about Victoria's runaway bride stint (something that happened in the season seven finale), then we can assume that former "Reno 911!" star Thomas Lennon will also be making an appearance in the premiere. Earlier this August, Lennon was cast as Klaus, the groom that Victoria left at the altar for Ted.
