Defending La Liga champions Real Madrid take on Getafe Sunday at Coliseum Alfonso Perez at 3pm eastern time.

Los Blancos are in search of their first win of the season after a 1-1 draw with Valencia last week. Forward Gonzalo Higuain scored in the 10th minute of play, but Real surrendered a goal in the 42nd minute to Valencia forward Jonas.

Real forced 12 corner kicks and had 24 shots, nine of which were on goal, yet failed to capitalize on their opportunities.

Los Blancos defender Pepe is expected to return from a head injury suffered against Valencia.

Getafe hopes to rebound from a 2-1 loss to Sevilla, where they attempted a rally but fell short.

Sevilla put up two goals late in the first half for a 2-0 lead, but Getafe defender Alexis headed home a goal in the 50th minute to cut the lead in half. Still, Azulones failed to convert another goal in the second half and fell in their first match of the season.

Getafe head goach Luis Garcia said he has a realistic attitude about his club's chances Sunday.

"No one expects us to win, but we will try to beat Real Madrid," Garcia said. "It won't make much difference to the standings but we want to win it for the team and for our fans."
