"American Horror Story" has been busy releasing teaser videos for its upcoming second season, but on Wednesday co-creator Ryan Murphy took some time to release some exciting casting news.

At the conclusion of season one, Murphy revealed that the whole horrifying cast of season one would not be returning for an equally haunting second season. Out of the season one cast, only five of them would be traveling to the season two "Asylum," but on Wednesday Murphy changed that number to lucky six.

Ryan Murphy took to his Twitter page to reveal the addition of season one vet Frances Conroy to the cast.

"Thrilled to announce Emmy nominee Frances Conroy is returning to AHS. Devils and angels this year...Frannie plays the ultimate angel."

Frances Conroy will be joining her old cast mates Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson and Zachary Quinto. Like her fellow actors, Conroy will be playing a drastically different role than in season one.

At the L.A. Murder House last season, Conroy played the role of Moira, the haunted house keeper, a role that definitely appears to be different from her "Asylum" role as "the ultimate angel."

Jessica Lange, who played Constance, a troubled aged southern bell will now be playing Sister Jude, a nun running the East Coast institution for the criminally insane, Briarcliff. Evan Peters, who previously played Constance's dead disturbed son Tate, will now be tackling the part of Kit, a new inmate at Briarcliff who is accused of murdering his wife. Lily Rabe played heartbroken and haunting mother Nora will portray Eunice, Sister Jude's second in command. Sarah Paulson who previously played psychic Billie Dean will portray Lana, a lesbian journalist who discovers a dark secret about Briarcliff, but is committed before she can reveal it, and Zachary Quinto, who played deceased gay man Chad, will be turning the tables as Dr. Thredson, a psychiatrist who has some major conflicts with Sister Jude.

Season two of "American Horror Story," has gained the subtitle "Asylum." The series reboot is set in 1964 at an institution for the criminally insane in Massachusetts.

Season one "American Horror Story" vets will be joined by newcomers Chloe Sevigny, Joseph Fiennes, James Cromwell, Lizzie Brochere, Adam Levine, Britne Olford, Clea Duvall, Jenna Dewan, Franke Potente and Mark Consuelos.

"American Horror Story: Asylum" premieres on FX on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
