Responding to the reports of Apple's iPod Nano getting overheated and catching fire, Japan's industry ministry has ordered the company to disclose its responses to the issue, according to a report.
There were 27 incidents related to overheating of the 2005 iPod Nano which included 6 fire accidents that needed firefighters’ intervention, the Economic Times reported, quoting an official with the ministry.
"Four people burned themselves after they touched the device, which had overheated during charging," the official said.
"The ministry repeatedly asked Apple Japan to take market measures, such as giving warnings or recalling the products, but it has failed to do so," he said.
The order also seeks Apple’s report on all the incidents occurred outside the country.
