The American royal wedding between thirty-year-old Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky, who is 32, have been kept secret from any media.

The parents of the bride were seen arriving at a formal dinner at the Beekman Arms Inn in Rhinebeck on Friday night, according to CNN. Chelsea's father was reported to have said kind words for his future son-in-law. "I admire him. Hillary feels the same way,"  the formal president said.

Also attending were former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, presidential adviser Vernon Jordan and numerous young couples presumed to be friends of the bride and groom.

However, President Obama will not attend the wedding as he didn't receive invitation.

"I was not invited to the wedding because I think Hillary and Bill, properly, want to keep this thing for Chelsea and her soon-to-be husband," said Obama speaking to the ladies of ABC's "The View" on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, U.S. Federal Aviation Authority was reported to have ordered the closure of airspace over Manhattan, venue of Chelsea's wedding.

The ban applies to aircraft flying under 2,000 feet (610 meters) over the Astor Courts estate just outside Rhinebeck, said an AFP report.

The ban under clause "temporary flight restrictions for VIP (Very Important Person) Movement," will be effective from 3:00 pm Saturday to 3:30 am Sunday, said the report.

The romance between the soon-to-be couple was reported in October of 2007. Mezvinsky and Clinton met through their parent's political ties in Washington when both were teenagers. They attended Stanford University together, where they both studied finance. They have remained friends ever since.

In November of 2009, Chelsea Clinton announced that she would marry Mezvinsky. She wore her engagement ring,  featuring a "sizable diamond",  in public on April 25, 2010 during the opening night performance of the Broadway show, Promises, Promises.
