Acer unveils dual OS netbook

Taiwan-based Acer announced a new netbook model featuring two operating systems - Google Android and Windows XP.

The model named as Acer Aspire One AOD255 was unveiled at a computer show in Taipei.

Users can use Android for browsing Internet and use Windows for normal applications.

The netbook comes with a 10.1-inch screen and Intel's Atom N450 microprocessor powers the device.

The device, which packs a 1GB RAM and 160GB hard disk, has a 3 cell battery though customers can order for a 6 cell battery as well.

It is unknown when the netbook, which is expected to be available for $375, will be formally launched on the global markets.
