Hollywood actress Julia Roberts was warmly received into Hinduism by Hindus after playing protaganist in the film adaptation of 'Eat Pray Love.' Roberts plays Elizabeth Gilbert  who after a divorce travels around the world, particularly to India, Indonesia and Italy.

The Oscar winner shared that she and her family "chant and pray."

Roberts affirmed that she is "definitely a practicing Hindu. 'Eat Pray Love' is about  a woman realizing she is not getting what she wants out of life, after trying and failing to become pregnant and a painful divorce.

In a statement, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed welcomed the actress into Hinduism and said Julia Roberts would appreciate the "rich, diverse and long tradition of Hindu philosophy."

Zed offered help to the 'Eat Pray Love' star if she needs any help with Hinduism exploration and said he and his scholars would be happy to help. According to Asia American Net, Rajan Zed is "an acclaimed Indo-American and Hindu statesman who has taken up Hindu, interfaith, religion, environment, Roma and other causes all over the world."
