Microsoft is preparing to launch its Windows 7 across China and has appointed WPP Group's JWT to handle the creative business.

This is the first time JWT China will work with Microsoft. The agency will be responsible for the creative development supporting Windows 7 launch.

Sources said that a total of nine agencies were involved in the pitch for Windows 7's creative business in China.

While the value of the new business was undisclosed, the global launch of Windows 7 was said to be Microsoft's biggest marketing push of the year. In China as in most other global markets, the into will likely be backed by at $50 million in media.

MDC Partners' Crispin Porter + Bogusky led the U.S. roll-out last fall.
