If you saw a Zombie walking across the street last weekend, it's not yet the end of the world. You might had just witness a "zombie attack" but it's only a promotion for a new show in AMC, The Walking Dead. The show will premiere Sunday night on the network.

Entertainment Weekly reported that "zombie attack" took place in 26 cities around the world including Taipei, Hongkong and Washington DC to promote The Walking Dead just before the Halloween.

Greg Nicotero directed the styling of the costumes for the promotion. Nicotero also serves as the styling director of the new show, so if you happened to be scared by one zombie during the attack, expect the same realistic style on the new show The Walking Dead.

Zombie attacks can be tracked on Facebook and Twitter pages for The Walking Dead Twitteras well as in AMC's international zombie album.

The show is based on an eponymous comic book series. According to Wikipedia, The Walking Dead  "tells the story of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse and follows a small group of survivors traveling across the United States in search of a new home away from the hordes of zombies."  The group is led by Rick Grimes, a police officer in the old world played by Andrew Licoln (Love Actually).
