Barack Obama Looking at Cars [PHOTOS]
So, Barack Obama visited the Washington Auto Show the other day. Sure, he was probably invited, but it's also part of a larger strategy for his reelection campaign this fall.
"When you look at all these cars, it is a testimony to the outstanding work that's been done by workers, American workers, American designers. The U.S. auto industry is back," Obama said at the auto show, according to a pool report.
"The fact that GM is back to No. 1 I think shows the kind of turnaround that's possible when it comes to American manufacturing. It's good to remember the fact that there were some folks who were willing to let this industry die."
That's a not-so-subtle shot at Mitt Romney, who is the front-runner to oppose President Obama on the Republican ticket.
But in between taking shots at Romney and boosting up the auto industry's recovery, Obama took time to be a regular person -- and marvel at all the cool cars at the show. Scroll through for a look at some of them.
