Asia Monet Ray may have placed third in Season 1 of dance coach Abby Lee Miller’s competition series “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” but the 8-year-old powerhouse is undoubtedly the star of the show. After a brief stint on Lifetime’s popular reality TV series “Dance Moms” in 2013 competing with Miller’s elite team, Monet Ray has snagged her very own series on the network, “Raising Asia.”

Lifetime announced the new series during the premiere episode of Miller’s program, “Abby’s Studio Rescue,” Tuesday night. While fans will have to wait until July 29 to catch “Raising Asia,” the quick promo did give some insight into what viewers can expect from Monet’s return to the small screen. “Witness the making of a dancer, singer, superstar, legend, idol, artist, mogul, favorite diva …” teased the network, with the young reality star adding the quip, “I am focused on my career, like crazy.”

So what can fans expect from Monet’s new series? While the young performer is best known for her award-winning dance skills, it appears the program will focus on Monet's burgeoning music career. In video obtained from Monet’s first concert at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California on June 12, a camera crew appears to be filming her on-stage debut.

“So blessed with this support,” Monet shared on Instagram after the show alongside an image of her posing with her former “AUDC” judge, Richie Jackson.

While Monet has yet to comment on her new series, the performer hasn’t been shy about sharing the details of her busy entertainment career in recent months. According to Monet’s social media updates, not only has she secured an endorsement deal with UFC Refresh Coconut Water, she has also been spotted on various red carpets appearances, posing for photo ops at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards gifting suite red carpet June 18 and the Reality Wanted TV Awards, alongside Miller, in April.

Monet first made her mark on reality TV during the first season of Miller’s “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition” in 2012. Despite being a fan-favorite, Monet, then 7, placed third behind dancers Madison O’Connor, and winner, Brianna Haire. With her mom, Kristie Ray, by her side, Monet went on to star in one season of Miller’s hit show “Dance Moms,” before making her grand exit to pursue other career opportunities during the show’s Season 3 finale last fall.

“Raising Asia” premieres July 29, the same night Season 4 of “Dance Moms” returns to Lifetime. “Abby’s Studio Rescue” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
