AUD/USD Fundamental Analysis February 16, 2012 Forecast

Analysis and Recommendation: ( close of Asian session )

AUD/USD was trading at 1.0749 as the USD continues upward on worries over the Greek political problems.

Earlier in trading the Aussie recovered  losses after Greek political leaders agreed to provide written commitments to stick with promised austerity measures.European finance ministers announced that they had postponed a planned meeting to discuss a 130 billion euros ($160.27 billion) bailout for Greece pending further commitments from Greek political leaders.

The ministers have insisted the leaders of both Greece's major political parties commit to implementing austerity measures beyond the next election, expected in April, before they agree to bail out the debt-stricken country.
