Joseph Hyungmin Son, who played Random Task in the Austin Powers movie, is suspected of killing his cellmate at Wasco State Prison.

Son allegedly killed his cellmate who was in jail for two years on a parole violation after failing to register as a sex offender, according to KMJ Now radio.

The 50-year-old was found dead on the morning of Oct. 10.

The death is being treated as a homicide, according to the Daily Mail. But no spokesperson for the prison has yet to reveal how the individual was killed.

An autopsy is scheduled for this week, according to the LA Times.

Son played Dr. Evil's henchman Random Task, dressed in suit and top hat, in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.

He was also a mixed marital artist.

Son was in jail on a conviction of one count of torture in connection with the abduction and torture of a 19-year-old woman who was out walking her dog on Christmas Eve.

The Daily News reports that Son and another man, Santiago Lopez Gaitan, forced the woman into a car at gunpoint, raped her, and threatened to kill her.

Police obtained Son's DNA after he pleaded guilty to felony vandalism in 2008. He had violated probation during that time.

After the DNA was collected, Son was linked to the sexual crime.
