RTTNews - Thursday, a report by the Australian Bureau of Statistics said the short-term visitor arrivals into the country rose a seasonally adjusted 0.9% month-on-month in April, after a 0.8% decline in March. Visitor arrivals totaled 478,700 on an adjusted basis, and 455,600 on the basis of the original series.

Meanwhile, short-term departures by Australian residents rose 9% on a monthly basis in April, following a 2.2% fall in March. The number of short-term departures totaled 508,400 on an adjusted basis and 503,900 on the basis of the original estimates in April.
