USD/JPY: the pair closed Tuesday's session below the 81.50 levels, as demand increased on the Japanese currency as a safe-haven, where the Japanese economy announced a significant drop in retail sales during the month of March to its lowest level in 13 years due to the earthquake that hit Japan in March 11.

The USD/JPY pair closed Tuesday's session at the level of 81.37, after it recorded a high of 81.96 and a low of 81.25, while the pair is trading now at 81.44.

AUD/USD: The Australian dollar climbed against its U.S. counterpart to record a new record high at 1.0850, as the Australian economy announced an increase in consumer price index during the first quarter by 3.3% which may increase pressure on RBA to hike interest rate again.

The AUD/USD pair closed Tuesday's session at the level of 1.0715, after it recorded a high of 1.0821 and a low of 1.0676, while the pair is trading now at 1.0834.
