RTTNews - In Australia, the total earnings of full time working adults in the private and public sector rose a seasonally adjusted 5% year-on-year in February, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said Thursday.

The total earnings increased 4.8% in the private sector and 5.6% in the public sector in February. Moreover, the total earnings rose 5.7% for males and 5.1% for females.

Meanwhile, the regular time earnings in the public and private sector grew 5.6% annually in February, reflecting a 5.7% rise in the private sector and a 5.5% increase in the public sector.

In the November-February period, the total earnings of full time working adults were up 1% from the previous quarter. At the same time, the regular time earnings increased 1.2%.
