Australian retail sales

The Australian economy released today data on the retail sales during the month of December and the retail sales excluding inflation during the fourth quarter. The retail sales showed an actual reading of 0.2% compared to the previous reading of 0.3% revised to 0.4% while forecasts referred to a value of 0.5%.

The retail sales excluding inflation showed an actual reading of -0.3% compared to the previous reading of 0.7%, while expectations indicated a value of -0.3%.
