RTTNews - Australia's leading indicator of employment dropped to minus 0.765 in June from minus 0.620 in May, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relation or DEEWR said Wednesday.

The indicator has now declined the 18th consecutive month, and remains below its long-term trend of 2.2% per annum, DEEWR said. Three of the four main indicators including the Dun and Bradstreet Employment Expectations Index, the Westpac-Melbourne Institute Leading Index of Economic Activity and the ANZ Newspaper Job Advertisements series contributed to the fall in June.

Meanwhile, cyclical employment dropped for the 13th consecutive month in June.
