RTTNews - Friday, the Statistics Austria announced that the consumer price index rose 0.7% year-on-year in April, slower than a 0.8% rise in March. The report said the consumer price inflation in April was at the lowest level since September 1999. Month-on-month, consumer prices were up 0.2% in April.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP increased 0.5% annually in April compared to a 0.6% rise in March. On a monthly basis, the HICP increased 0.2% in April.
