Thursday, the Statistics Austria said in a report that consumer prices rose 0.8% year-on-year in March, slowing from a 1.3% rise in the previous month. The statistical office said the consumer price inflation in March was the lowest since November 1999. Month-on-month, consumer prices increased 0.3% in March.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices climbed 0.7% year-on-year in March, slower than a 1.4% rise in February. On a monthly basis, the harmonized index of consumer prices was up 0.3% in March.
