RTTNews - Tuesday, the Statistics Austria announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 0.3% year-on-year in May, slower than a 0.7% increase in the previous month. The report said the consumer price inflation in May was the lowest level since April 1999.

Month-on-month, consumer prices were up 0.3% in May, after rising 0.2% in April.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP increased 0.1% annually in May compared to a 0.5% rise in April. On a monthly basis, the HICP increased 0.1% in May.
