Marvel just released a new “Avengers: Age of Ultron” behind-the-scenes photo. The official Twitter account for “The Avengers” posted a sneak peek at director Joss Whedon working with actor Jeremy Renner. Take a look at the photo below:

Whedon seems to be the one doing most of the action in the shot, but it’ll likely be Renner, who plays Hawkeye, in that archer stance in the film. Fans who only have seen Hawkeye in “Thor” and “The Avengers” probably only know him as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent with the bow and arrow, but Hawkeye, a.k.a. Clint Barton, will apparently be more involved in the "The Avengers" sequel, "Age of Ultron." He’s apparently much more talkative when he is not being controlled by villains.

“I think we’re going to actually get a handful of [Barton’s] personality on this one, which is actually quite fun for me to sort of explore in this one,” Renner told Clever Movies at San Diego Comic-Con. He also said that fans will “understand who he is, what he is, how he does what he does, and he’s got another bag of secrets too that are revealed.”

The photo doesn’t reveal any of those secrets, but it gives viewers a closer look at Hawkeye’s new uniform, first revealed in Entertainment Weekly. Hawkeye seems to be dressing for colder weather (which means fans won’t get to see Renner’s biceps as much in the sequel). The new armor also incorporates more of Hawkeye’s trademark purple, though it’s still not the bright purple that’s featured in the comics.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” recently finished principal photography, according to Marvel, and fans are hoping for a new trailer to be released soon. The sequel has high expectations to live up to. The first “Avengers” film set box office records in 2012, and Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” is currently the biggest domestic hit of the summer. Iron Man himself even thinks that “Guardians of the Galaxy” will be hard to beat.

“‘Galaxy’ in some ways is the best Marvel movie ever,” Robert Downey Jr. told the Toronto Sun. “And it’s odd for someone with — on occasion — an ego the size of mine to actually say that!”
