Aviva Plc today announced the appointment of Tim Harris to the position of group chief accountant. He will be reporting to Andrew Moss, the group finance director, starting from mid November.

Harris will be replacing Nic Nicandrou who was previously the financial control director at Aviva. He was recently appointed finance director of Norwich Union Life.

Harris is moving from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he is a partner in Global Capital Markets Group.

Andrew Moss said in a statement, “Tim has been prominent in many of the emerging financial control and reporting discussions taking place within the insurance industry, both at an EU and UK level. His knowledge and experience will be an undoubted asset to Aviva as we continue to take a leading role in shaping the future for insurance standards in financial reporting.”
