Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner want to clear the air.

Days after a report surfaced of their alleged break-up, the rock star and her reality TV boyfriend took to Twitter to confirm they still love each other.

While the tweets don't directly address the split, Lavigne and Brody appear to remain friendly.

It really upsets me to read all the FALSE!! stories. Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart. I love her, Brody, 28, wrote on Tuesday.

luv u 2!!! @BrodyJenner, Lavigne, 27, added.

Earlier this week, rumors of their split made headlines, from an unidentified source telling E! News that the couple reached a mutual decision to another source confirming to People that the Lavigne and Jenner could get back together.

Jenner was reportedly feeling a bit cornered by Lavigne, who was looking forward to marriage and kids, another source told the Chicago Sun Times.

Lavigne, who is gearing up for multiple shows in Asia in February, is no stranger to clearing things up via Twitter.

In November, Lavigne and Jenner were involved in a bar fight at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. The two were having a routine night out on the town when they caught themselves on the receiving end of a brawl.

I don't fight. I don't believe in it. To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is fu**ed . . . as in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer, she wrote on Twitter.

Interesting Saturday night . . . just got [out] of hospital with a new scar on my face . . . charges/chargers!! added Jenner.

Lavigne and Jenner, who have matching tattoos of each other's names, have been dating since January 2010.

Her fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby, has released three singles, including the latest Wish You Were Here. Lavigne is scheduled to begin the overseas leg of her tour on Feb. 4 in Tokyo.
