METHODOLOGY
This year, the awards are decided by the votes gathered from IBTimes' readers and nominations from a select panel of industry experts on the FX markets.
The FX market is an unregulated OTC market and there are no reliable, aggregated, global statistics made available against which to benchmark the survey outside the tri-annual BIS studies. The survey also does not reflect traders' sentiment or preferences. Rather, IBTimes aims to capture broker preferences of retail Forex traders.
IBTimes believes that results accurately discerns the relative acceptance and satisfaction of the brokers ranked, given their geographic scope represented by the poll and its strict approach for data collection.
IBTimes Trading Awards is divided into two sections: qualitative measures (recognizing brokers by client staisfaction at the continent and country level) and by panel of experts(based on the judges' proven expertise).
We received 6,400 valid votes to the survey from 82 countries in 7 languages.
Additionally, votes are not included in the survey where:
• FX service providers cast a vote for themselves.
• An individual respondent submits more than one ballot and we cannot resolve the duplication.
This year's panel involves experts from following firms:
