Comedian Aziz Ansari released his standup special, Dangerously Delicious, on his website Tuesday, bypassing cable networks in lieu of the Internet.

The 60-minute comedy special, which features material from his 2011 standup tour, is available for download or streaming for $5.00 on AzizAnsari.com.

Aziz explained his decision to release the special online on his Tumblr blog, Aziz is Bored.

I paid for the production myself and wanted to release it online, he wrote. While I was trying to figure out the proper method of release, my friend and hilarious comedian Louis CK did his whole thing and it seemed to me that people really liked that model, so that was the route I decided to go.

The Parks and Recreation actor also posted a three-minute preview of the special.

Hello, I'm Aziz Ansari. You may have seen my brown face on television or film before, Ansari, wearing a suit and tie, says to the tune of a campy mid-20th century TV commercial jingle. I want to talk to you about my brand new standup special...Normally a special like this would cost $20 to get on DVD-you're getting it for only $5. Think about all the cool things you could but with the $15 you just saved.

A list of those things then scrolls across the screen, which includes several small bags of cashews and/or almonds, a beach towel, Nelly's SweatSuit Album (Sweat disc only), a paperback copy of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, a bag of screws, and a $15 down-payment on anything.

The preview also shows a few clips from a taping of one of his standup performances at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., filmed in June of 2011.

I was having lunch with a friend of mine once, and I told him, 'Hey, there's this one girl that works at this restaurant--she's so cute, but I don't know what to say to her,' says Ansari in the clip. And he goes, 'Aw man, all you gotta do is go over there and be honest with her for minute.' Really? That's all I gotta do?

So I just need to walk over -- 'Excuse me miss, I just need to be real honest with you for a minute,' he continues. 'I eat here all the time. And when I do, I stare at your face. And I imagine us f--king while I eat my sandwiches.'

In addition to answering frequently asked questions about the comedy special on his blog, Aziz answered the very important and long-debated question, Do you like fish tacos?

Of course I do! he said definitively.
