Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell may have wanted to keep their relationship private after “The Bachelor” finished filming, but the new couple is having a difficult time doing that. The latest drama to plague the reality TV pair? Criticism from the first ever “Bachelorette,” Trista Sutter.

“Bachelor” fans will remember that during the season finale Juan Pablo chose to give Nikki a rose instead of an engagement ring. Nikki accepted the rose, despite Juan Pablo not saying, “I love you” back to her. The couple made their first public appearance during “The Bachelor: After The Final Rose,” however the couple didn’t gush about their relationship and finding love. Instead Juan Pablo went on the defense, refusing to say “I love you” to Nikki and claiming that he was forced to have boxing gloves on with the network throughout filming. The two ended the interview saying that they planned on keeping their relationship private and that they were happy to be finally free.

The ending of “The Bachelor” left fans shocked, and it appears as if Trista Sutter was one of them.

For those unfamiliar with Trista, she was the runner up on Season 1 of ABC’s “The Bachelor.” She then went on to star on the network’s spinoff series, “The Bachelorette,” where she found her husband – Ryan Sutter. Trista and Ryan were married in 2003, and today they are still married with two children.

The first successful relationship from “The Bachelor/ Bachelorette” franchise, Trista spoke with Life & Style magazine about Nikki and Juan Pablo’s highly publicized relationship. The former “Bachelorette” told the magazine that she thinks Nikki will need to have a “heart-to-heart” with Juan Pablo about their relationship and whether he really wants to be with her.

“But I don’t know if that’s the case,” Trista clarified to Life & Style. “I can’t speak to their personal relationship, I can only honestly with them the best, and hope that if they do get married, that they’re doing it because they love each other and they want to spend the rest of their life with each other.”

Nikki took to Twitter to fire back at Trista, posting:

“You’re right @tristasutter you can’t ‘speak to our relationship’ because you don’t know either one of us. But thank you for playing #juststop.”

Trista didn’t respond to Nikki’s tweet, but she did express earlier in the day that she was disappointed about the angle Life & Style decided to take on her interview. “Interesting edit 4 the title,” the “Bachelorette” alum posted with a sad face. Her tweet was in reference to the magazine’s title for her interview, “Bachelorette Trista Sutter Weighs in on Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell’s Relationship: ‘It Kind of Breaks My Heart.”

The quote, “It kind of breaks my heart,” was in reference to Juan Pablo being labeled as the “most hated ‘Bachelor,’” not Juan Pablo’s relationship with Nikki.
