Episode 5 of “The Bachelor” was sexy! Juan Pablo and his 11 remaining ladies touched down in Vietnam for two one-on-one dates and a group date. With love in the air, the romantic date ended up taking a pretty awkward turn for Clare by the time the rose ceremony arrived.

So, what happened? Let’s recap!

Renee and Nikki finally had their first one-on-one dates with Juan Pablo and they both went off without a hitch. The two ladies received a rose at the end of their dates, and Renee finally got the kiss she was waiting for. The group date is where things started getting wild.

The 32-year-old single dad took the nine other women out for a fun boat ride and asked them to pair up. With Clare the only bachelorette without a partner (because the girls don’t like her), Juan Pablo got the chance to cozy up next to the 32-year-old hairstylist -- and make the other contestants jealous.

Things heated up between Juan Pablo and Clare, with the bachelor moving in to sneak a kiss from Clare when the other ladies weren’t looking. Their close encounters the whole episode lead to Clare receiving the group date rose. But that wasn’t enough for her. With everyone back in their hotel rooms, Clare sneaks off to Juan Pablo’s room to ask him to go for a swim in the ocean at 4 a.m. -- and that’s where the drama began!

Juan Pablo eagerly accepted Clare’s invitation and quickly stripped off his shirt before following her to the water. And while the camera did its best to capture their moment together, “Bachelor” fans are a little uncertain about what happened between the pair.

“We just went for it,” Clare told the cameras afterward. “And I don’t regret it. Pure bliss. In every way.”

Did Juan Pablo and Clare have sex?

“Bachelor” host Chris Harrison revealed to TV Guide that the 4 a.m. meetup was a “skinny dipping session.” But Clare’s choice of words at the cocktail party before the Rose Ceremony made viewers feel like it may have been more than that.

Raising her glass, Clare toasted to: “Finding love, being loved and making love.”

Clare and Juan Pablo didn't actually say that they had sex, but it seems to us like Clare was waving a neon sign saying that her 4 a.m. rendezvous in the ocean got a little more physical than just a few breaststrokes.

Unfortunately for Clare, her moment of “pure bliss” with Juan Pablo turned into a pure nightmare. Before the rose ceremony, the bachelor pulled her aside and basically told her that they shouldn’t have done what they did because his daughter will see it on TV. Clare was completely caught off guard and immediately started crying -- but not before clearing things up with the cameras.

“There was no miscommunication,” she explained. “There was no misunderstanding. He was on board with everything. It’s confusing and I don’t know where we go from here.”

Most “Bachelor” fans took Clare’s side, including Chris Harrison!

“When she showed up he was fully into it like this is awesome and sexy and she was as happy as can be and then he turns around and treats her like all of a sudden she did something wrong and broke the rules,” he dished to TV Guide. “It was not only confusing, but it was borderline rude. We even told him as much, but he didn’t see it that way. Even though he apologized later I don’t think he really understood how cheap he made her feel.”

Clare had a rose from a group date and Juan Pablo promised her he wouldn’t take it back. Kelly, Danielle, and Alli were eliminated in episode 5, leaving eight girls remaining in the running. Now the question is whether Clare can overcome her hurt feelings, and if Juan Pablo still has the same feelings for her.
