“The Bachelor’” season finale was shocking for a handful of reasons – one of them being Clare’s breakdown during her final one-on-one date with Juan Pablo. The couple had their ups and downs all season (*cough* the ocean fiasco *cough*), but it all came to a head when the 32-year-old single dad said something so offensive to her that it left her doubting whether he was the right man for her.

Fans will remember that for their final date, Juan Pablo took Clare on a helicopter ride to overlook Saint Lucia. The helicopter was supposed to be the last date for them to bond and grow closer, which is why Clare was so shocked by what happened next.

While in the helicopter, the two lovebirds had a rare moment together without any cameras or microphones. And according to Clare, Juan Pablo used that moment to whisper something in her ear. The 32-year-old hairstylist was hoping that he would whisper some “sweet, kind and love words.” But, unfortunately for her, the exact opposite came out.

“I almost don’t have words for it, how I feel right now,” Clare told the cameras afterward. “ He chose to tell me something that no woman wants to hear. That he really doesn’t know me, and some sexual thing I don’t want to repeat. It was insulting, offensive, and it just made me feel awful.”

Even during the “After The Final Rose” special Clare refused to reveal to “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison what Juan Pablo whispered to her. However Wet Paint claims to know the “insulting” and “offensive” words that the bachelor told her.

According to an insider, Clare asked Juan Pablo during their alone time to “just tell me you love me.” But Juan Pablo allegedly replied, “I really loved f****** you.”

And while Clare won’t confirm or deny what Juan Pablo said to her, she did reveal in the “After The Final Rose” special that it caught her off-guard.

“I should have left,” she revealed to Chris Harrison. “My gut was right on, I probably should have left.”

Asked whether she would like to speak to him one more time, Clare made the decision to just move forward. “That was my closure,” Clare said, regarding standing up for herself in Saint Lucia after Juan Pablo broke up with her. “That was all I needed. And that was closure enough for me, and I don’t want to sit here on this couch and get fed anymore B.S.”

Clare’s final words to Juan Pablo during the season finale were that she lost respect for him and “would never want my children having a father like you.” After walking away, Juan Pablo said out loud, “Oof, glad I didn’t pick her.”
