Who is the next “Bachelor”? The fan base of the hit ABC reality show, lovingly referred to as “Bachelor Nation,” is dying for an answer … and creator Mike Fleiss wants to provide one!

“Tallying the votes,” Fleiss tweeted the day after “The Bachelorette” finale. “Some for Chris, some for Marquel, some for Chris Harrison … Where are the Arie supporters???”

The four men that Fleiss is referring to are Chris Soules, Marquel Martin, Chris Harrison and Arie Luyendyk Jr. For those unfamiliar with the potential “Bachelor” stars, Chris Soules is the 32-year-old Iowa farmer that competed in Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette.” He was sent home during the “Fantasy Suite” date in episode 9 when Andi confessed that their relationship wasn’t as far along as her relationship with the two remaining men -- Josh Murray and Nick Viall.

Marquel Martin was also from Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette.” While the 26-year-old sponsorship salesman didn’t make it that far in the competition, he immediately won viewers over with his smile, charm and love for cookies.

Chris Harrison is not a former “Bachelorette” contestant, but instead the host of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.” Despite fans wanting to see him find some love on screen, the host has made it clear that he doesn’t plan on switching roles.

The final heartthrob potentially in the running for “The Bachelor” position is Arie Luyendyk Jr., the runner-up from Emily Maynard’s season of “The Bachelorette.” The 32-year-old is a race car driver that resides in Scottsdale, Arizona.

No man seems to be ahead of the pack because Mike Fleiss has been asking fans for help on Twitter. “This is the toughest choice we’ve had to make,” he posted. “Multiple qualified dudes.” He has become so desperate that he has even turned to comedian and “Colbert Report” host Stephen Colbert for his opinion on the matter. “I want to know who @StephenAtHome would pick as the next Bachelor … Need the Colbert Bump!!!” Fleiss tweeted.

“The Bachelor” fan base thought that “The Bachelor” 2015 announcement would occur during the Season 10 finale of “The Bachelorette” on July 28. Juan Pablo Galavis was announced as the 2014 star of “The Bachelor” following Desiree Hartsock’s “The Bachelorette” finale, and Andi Dorfman was announced as the next “Bachelorette” after Juan Pablo’s jaw-dropping finale. While the upcoming season of “The Bachelor” was brought up during Monday night’s finale, no major details were revealed. Instead, Chris Harrison coyly told viewers that, “The new ‘Bachelor’ is going to be named later.” He later cleared up in his blog for Entertainment Weekly that he didn’t simply “forget” to make the announcement.

“The truth is we haven’t decided 100 percent on whom that is yet,” he added. “Obviously we take this decision very seriously and a lot goes into this process. There are endless discussions and heated debates on which direction to go and what to do. We are very much close to making that decision, but the only big mistake we could really make is to rush this and try to get it done in time for last night’s show.”

Whenever the show does announce the star of the 2015 season, Fleiss wants fans to know one thing: “Regardless of which of these great guys gets to be the next ‘Bachelor, I hope you’ll give him a chance … #openmindopenheart.”
