Get ready for an emotional ride in episode 3 of “The Bachelor.” Season 20 star Ben Higgins has successfully narrowed his batch of single and sexy ladies down to 17 contestants, but that doesn’t mean he’s getting any more comfortable with the dating process on the ABC reality show.

Although Ben knows that he has a great group of women competing for his heart, the events from the episode 2 rose ceremony will briefly shake him up. “The Bachelor” viewers will remember that contestant L.B. decided to deny Ben’s rose and pack her bags But while L.B. wasn’t sure if she felt a connection with the 27-year-old Colorado software salesman, the other ladies remaining in the house are “anxious to spend time with him.”

Lauren B., who Ben gifted with a photo last week after not being able to get some time with her, will land the first one-on-one date of episode 3. Their afternoon together will start in a bi-plane, which will take them to a secluded spot – which in true “Bachelor” fashion has a hot tub. After getting to know each other more over dinner, the two will enjoy a private performance by one of Ben’s favorite groups, Lucy Angel.

Following his date with Lauren B., Ben will join 12 of the other contestants on an “intense” group date. While last week the women had to compete in school, this week they’ll be competing on the soccer field. Alex Morgan and Kelley O’Hara of the World Cup Championship U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team will join the ladies on the field to coach them during a soccer competition.

Ben’s week of dating will round out with another one-on-one date, this time with Jubilee at an exclusive spa. However, Ben will receive some “tragic news from home” that will knock him off of cloud nine.

“The Bachelor” Season 20, episode 3 will air on ABC Monday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. EST.
