Britt Nilsson is happily engaged to her boyfriend of almost two years, Jeremy Byrne. The “Bachelor” Season 19 alum even showed off her beautiful engagement ring to her fans on social media.

On Wednesday, Nilsson proudly announced the engagement news through a series of Instagram posts. In one photo she uploaded, Nilsson flaunts the large sparkler on her left hand. The reality TV star admitted in the caption that she’s “over the moon” happy after saying yes to the proposal of the “man of [her] dreams and the most godly, amazing, fun, life-giving, silly, intelligent, wonderful best friend [she] could ever ask for.”

The 30-year-old continued by saying that she’s been dreaming of this moment for a long time, and she didn’t have a clue that Byrne was going to propose that day. “I had no idea it was coming and it was the best day of my life… We’re getting married!” she wrote.

Many of Nilsson’s followers quickly gave her congratulatory messages. “Congrats Britt!! I have loved your attitude towards life since I first saw you on ‘The Bachelor’… so happy you have found your soulmate, best of luck to both of you,” one wrote. “Congratulations Britt! You are very beautiful and kind … So happy you found the perfect guy for you! Not someone on TV,” another commented.

Prior to revealing her engagement, Nilsson dropped a hint for her followers when she shared a romantic photo of her and Byrne, 34, sitting on their couch with candles and rose petals adorning the table and floor in front of them. She captioned the snap, “Really big news!!”

It appears Nilsson couldn’t get enough of her elation after saying “yes” to Byrne’s proposal. After announcing that she’s engaged, she posted more photos of them enjoying each other’s company in the course of their nearly two-year romance.

Before popping the big question, Byrne flew to Detroit, Michigan from Los Angeles to get the blessing of Nilsson’s father. All the while, Nilsson thought that Byrne was away and camping with his cousins, Us Weekly has learned. Little did she know that Byrne was already preparing for the romantic proposal with his great-grandmother’s ring.

While Nilsson and Bryne did not officially start dating until a year and eight months ago, they actually knew each other way before that. In fact, they briefly dated each other about four or five years ago when they were set up by their pals, according to People.

Nilsson previously competed for Chris Soules’ affection on the 19th season of “The Bachelor.” She also came close to starring in her own “Bachelorette” season, but lost the title to Kaitlyn Bristowe.
