Carly Waddell and Evan Bass will soon welcome a new addition to their family.

The “Bachelor in Paradise” couple, who tied the knot in June, are expecting their first child together. On Sunday, Waddell shared the news of her pregnancy on Instagram with a photo of her and her husband touching her tummy.

Mrs. Bass wrote in the caption that they cannot wait to welcome their baby next year. “SECRET IS OUT GUYS!!!! Evan and I are SO EXCITED to announce we are HAVING A BABY!!!” Waddell wrote. “What a beautiful, wonderful, wild year it has been and the adventure continues Feb 2018! (also Evans face here is hilarious and wonderful).”

Bass and Waddell met on the set of “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 3. The pair got engaged during the season finale in September 2016.

When he proposed to Waddell, Bass told her that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

“Carly, our life in Paradise has been nothing short of epic. My love for you has only gotten stronger. And the love I feel from you is the most amazing, inexplicable, mind-blowing thing that I just never in a million years thought I would get,” Bass said, as quoted by Us Weekly. “I want my kids to see a love like we have, and I want them to know an amazing woman like you are. Carly, I wanna chase after the fairy tales, and go on all of the adventures, and find all of the interesting things in this world to explore.… I wanna start a life with you.”

On June 17, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta in Mexico. “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison joined the event to officiate the wedding. Among their guests were co-stars Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper, as well as the couple’s family and friends.

Bass and Waddell’s wedding was filmed by ABC, but majority of the details about the nuptials were not disclosed because the network will be airing it later this year. Initially, the footage was supposed to be aired in the new season of “Bachelor in Paradise.” Unfortunately, the plan was scrapped when the series was suspended due to the sex scandal involving Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson.
