Only five guys remain in the running for Desiree Hartsock’s heart in episode seven of “The Bachelorette.” Leaving Barcelona for Madeira, one contestant will find themselves being sent packing by the end of the episode -- and it won’t be for episode eight’s hometown visits.

Episode seven will air on ABC on Monday, and fans of the reality series will be welcoming a couple of familiar faces back to the screen: Desiree’s old friends and “Bachelor” contestants Catherine Guidici, Lesley Murphy and Jackie Parr. The ladies will visit Des on Madeira for some quality girl time, and the break allows the bachelorette to continue her journey for love with a clear head.

Brooks, Chris and Michael will be locking in one-on-one dates with Des, leaving Zak and Drew to duke it out on a two-on-one date. With four dates ahead of her, Des surprisingly won’t be handing out any roses at the end of the end of the one-on-one dates. Instead she’ll grant one rose at the end of the two-on-one date, but the second contestant will still have a chance to lock in a rose during the ceremony.

Brooks

Brooks and Des will share a romantic picnic on their one-on-one date, and, while things seem to be going well for the two, a sneak peek of episode seven shows that their date will fall apart after dinner. Des tells the cameras that she thinks Brooks may be the one but finds herself doubting her feelings by the end of the evening.

Comparing their relationship to a race over dinner, Des says she’s running to the finish line, but Brooks shocks her by revealing at the same time that he’s only at a jogging pace with her. Will the two be able to sort out it out and get on the same level for hometown visits? Or will Brooks be sent packing?

Chris

Chris and Des will share their one-on-one date on a deserted island, bringing out the romance in both of them. Spending part of their day each writing a love poem to send off into the ocean in a bottle, Chris will end up making a big decision: deciding to tell Desiree how he feels about her that night. Does Des feel the same about Chris?

Michael

Michael will finally get his first one-on-one date with Desiree in episode seven, and the pair will spend it exploring Madeira’s main city, Funchal. Like the previous two dates, dinner will become a little intense when Michael opens up about his past relationship and opens up about his father. But will Des like what Michael has to say?

Zak And Drew

Both Zak and Drew landed one-on-one dates in Barcelona, but the guys will have to fight for Desiree’s attention this week on a two-on-one date. The three of them will spend the day go-karting, and the race will continue off the track when they both fight to get alone time with Des first. With one rose up for grabs guaranteeing a hometown date, one of the men will have to sweat it out with the others during the rose ceremony at the end of the evening.
