Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops said goodbye to each other during episode 8 of “The Bachelorette” – but they didn’t split up on screen. Instead, the couple revealed that they would be attempting a long distance relationship as Brady leaves Los Angeles and returns to his home in Nashville, Tennessee.

“I feel sad I’m leaving,” Brady, 33, told Britt. Fans of “The Bachelorette” will remember that Brady left the ABC reality show during the two-night premiere in order to pursue a relationship with the 28-year-old Hollywood waitress. Britt had been eliminated from the show after a majority of the men in the house voted for her rival, Kaitlyn Bristowe.

A handful of episodes of “The Bachelorette” have kept viewers up to date on Britt and Brady’s relationship. When viewers last saw the pair, Britt had introduced her beau to her mom. Now they must part ways.

As Britt explained, the long distance thing will be like a “new season” for their relationship. Brady agreed, acknowledging that although it will be hard, it will also help them grow as a couple.

“The next stage will really be the test,” Britt told the cameras. “So we’ll see. Fingers crossed.”

As the 2015 season of “The Bachelorette” comes to an end, fans of Britt and Brady are bound to get an update on the couple during one of the specials – either the “Men Tell All” or the “After the Finale Rose.” However, according to Reality Steve the couple has already split.

“They are done,” Reality Steve posted in late June. “In fact, I’m hearing they broke up a while ago and are just keeping up this façade for TV purposes … I was told it ended pretty quickly after Kaitlyn’s season started airing, and possibly even before that.”
