Rachel Lindsay’s season of “The Bachelorette” kicked off on Monday, but viewers learned a major spoiler ahead of the premiere, when the star of the ABC reality show revealed to fans that she’s in love and engaged.

Some were elated to learn that the Dallas native was on the path toward marriage, while others felt it spoiled Season 13 of “The Bachelorette.” Rachel, 31, explained her decision in an interview with ET Online, saying that she was simply too excited to keep her engagement under wraps.

“I think [the decision to share the news] was kind of mutual. They are like, ‘You know what? Just do it, because I think a lot of people will be more invested to know this worked for her. You know, she so was not a believer. [She was] hopeful, but it actually happened,’” Rachel said. “And so I think people will really, like, tap into that.”

For those trying to guess which of the “Bachelorette” guys Rachel’s settled down with, give it up. The show’s star assured viewers they’ll never see her pick coming. She told ET that falling in love with her beau wasn’t immediate, but promises that Bachelor Nation will grow to love him just the way she did.

“I love saying I have a fiancé!” she said. “But you won’t be able to figure it out. Like, you will see me go along and struggle with it and back and forth and it was a hard decision for me. So I think that the way that I fell in love with him, America will too.”

That hasn’t stopped people from speculating, even after just one episode of “The Bachelorette.” Rachel appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” after the premiere, at which time the show’s host attempted to predict her final three as well as the overall Season 13 winner. Jimmy Kimmel pegged Eric, Bryan and Peter as her finalists and Peter as Rachel’s fiancé.

The late night TV host isn’t the only one who thinks the 31-year-old Wisconsin native is going to win “The Bachelorette.” Bachelor Nation spoiler blogger Reality Steve also predicted Peter as the winner of Rachel’s heart. Rachel didn’t react to either prediction.

Peter was one of a few guys who stood out in the premiere of “The Bachelorette.” He was among the first men who met Rachel, but their connection wasn’t as strong as it was with some others on the show. Bryan, for example, wowed Rachel with his ability to speak Spanish and more — so much so that he got two kisses.

Others will get the chance to shine in Season 13, episode 2 of “The Bachelorette.” According to Reality Steve, Peter will be chosen to go on the first one-on-one date with Rachel. His date will take place after the first “The Bachelorette” group date, which will take place at a winery.

The Bachelor Nation spoiler blogger reports that Rachel and her guys will visit a California winery. Rather than, or perhaps in addition to, partaking in the Wine Safari, they’ll be a part of a domestic obstacle course, which will reportedly involve baby carriers and dolls.

Tune in to the latest episode of “The Bachelorette” Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
