The Backstreet Boys member, who is trying to get back in “boy band shape,” recently revealed on Instagram that he’s getting a little help from his 4-month-old son Odin to achieve his fitness goal.

“Trying to get back into #boyband shape with my little buddy for our next #backstreetboys album and tour," Carter wrote on the social media site on Tuesday, Aug. 23, alongside a photo of himself with Odin. "Pushing a stroller is crazy cardio lol.”

The 36-year-old crooner has been actively documenting his workouts on Instagram over the past few days. On Sunday, Carter posted a photo from his hike. He also uploaded two videos of his workouts in a gym last Friday.

When he’s not working out, Carter — who welcomed Odin with wife Lauren Kitt in April — is busy recording some songs for the upcoming ninth album of Backstreet Boys.

“Hanging with daddy for the first time at the studio while we record a song for the new @backstreetboys album. #babies #newmusic #backstreetboys,” Carter wrote on Instagram earlier this month, alongside a photo of himself with Odin at a recording studio.

Carter’s bandmate A. J. McLean revealed to the RollingStone last October that the all-boys vocal group is working on a ninth album.

“We're working with a new producer, Jay Cash, who wrote ‘Sugar’ for Maroon 5,” he said at the time. McLean added that they were hoping to release the album before their cruise this May, but for some reason, that didn’t materialize.

While the release date of Backstreet Boys’ forthcoming record has not yet be announced, Carter told Entertainment Tonight in April that the boy band signed a deal with Live Nation for a nine-show "test residency" in Las Vegas. McLean confirmed the deal to Us Weekly, revealing that the residency starts in Jan. 2017.
