Six year old Falcon Heene was found alive on Thursday at his home, Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden told media in Fort Collins, The Denver Post reports.

The balloon boy was found in the attic above the garage, Alderden said indicating that he didn't think Falcon's parents knew the boy was there.

Falcon's 9 year old brother had told police and his parents that Falcon was in the balloon when it took off, according to reports.

The missing boy alarmed the media in the U.S. and internationally.
