Tuesday night's scheduled baseball game in Baltimore between the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox has been postponed until further notice. It was the second straight game to be postponed between the two teams because of unrest in reaction to the death of Freddie Gray. Meanwhile, Baltimore's pro football team, the Ravens, called off an NFL draft party that was set to take place at M&T Bank Stadium on Tuesday evening.

On Monday night, Baltimore was in a state of unrest -- with vehicles burned and angry citizens rioting in the streets. The violence resulted in 15 police officers being injured and dozens of people being arrested.

The decisions to postpone the Orioles games -- scheduled for Oriole Park at Camden Yards -- were reached after consultation with the Baltimore Police Department.

“I am extremely disappointed in this beautiful city tonight. I’m disappointed in the fact that the damage has been done to these communities, I’m disappointed that we cannot be more responsible in an embarrassment that we have nationwide in our community,” Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts told WJZ-TV. “This is not protesting, this is not your First Amendment rights, this is just criminal acts doing damage to a community that is challenged in some ways that do not need this and do not need to be harmed in a way that we have today.”

Neither the Orioles nor Ravens has announced makeup dates for the events, but postponements were all but inevitable once local authorities implemented a curfew for the entire city.
