Tiger Woods finds himself three strokes back of the lead as third round action of The Barclays Championship begins Saturday at Bethpage in Farmingdale, N.Y.

Live coverage of the first FedEx cup event begins at 11am eastern time and can be viewed streaming online at ESPN3.

Woods played through a sore back Friday, and shot a 2-under 69. The 14-time major champion struggled at times to pick up his ball from the cup, and even walk down bunkers, but rests at 5-under 137 after two rounds. Woods tees off at 1:05pm Saturday.

Leaders Nick Watney and Sergio Garcia, who tee-off at 1:45pm, rest atop the board at 8-under 134 after the second day. Garcia had some early trouble after a bogey on the third hole, but rallied to finish with a 68 Friday.

Watney split the par 5s on the front nine with an eagle-birdie and ended up with a 69 after two rounds.

Rory McIlroy, who began the tournament paired with Woods, almost missed the cut Friday with three bogeys on the front nine. The PGA champion made up that lost ground with three birdies to close the day at 73 and advance.
