“Bates Motel” took Comic-Con by storm over the weekend. Debuting on A&E this past spring, the “Psycho” prequel had fans on the edge of their seats during the bloody, action-packed freshman finale. So, what can fans expect when the drama returns in 2014? The cast and series creators gave hungry viewers the scoop as they prepare to start filming their highly anticipated second season.

1. Where Season 2 Will Pick Up

While season one began with Norman starting school, season two will pick up during the summer. It’ll be “tourist time” in White Pine Bay, which means potential customers for the Bates Motel. However, the freeway bypass that was mentioned last season will be a storyline this year, which suggests some financial trouble for the motel.

2. Vera Farmiga’s Plot Line

Vera Farmiga is doing a little more than just starring as Norma. The actress pitched a story line that will show up in the second episode of season two. But “Bates Motel” creator Carlton Cuse is keeping quiet about Farmiga’s idea, teasing the storyline with one word: “Sandman.”

3. New Romance

Both Norma and Norman found themselves dealing with some heartbreak by the end of season one, but the new season will allow mother and son to explore new romance … not with each other.

For Norma her new love interest will be a man named George. And unfortunately she’ll also have to deal with Caleb -- her estranged brother.

According to Cuse, Norman’s half-brother Dylan will also be getting some action this year, teasing that the character will be “having a lot of sex [in season 2].” While he wouldn’t dish on who he would be hooking up … could it possibly be Norman’s old flame, Bradley?

4. Sheriff Romero

According to DreadCentral.com, Nestor Carobonell’s Sheriff Romero will play a bigger role in season two “and beyond.” The actor explained that he will become “integrated more in the storylines,” and that the new season will reveal his backstory and motive. Part of Romero’s backstory will actually play a part in the “new major conflict.”

5. Miss Watson’s Death

Miss Watson’s death will be “present” at the start of the second season, and will impact some of the characters. “It certainly sets things up nice for season two,” Norman’s Freddie Highmore said during the panel of “B’s” death.
