Only two episodes remain in Season 2 of “Bates Motel.” Episode 8 left viewers on the edge of their seats, and it looks like episode 9 will be doing the same.
For those that missed “Meltdown,” Norman and Norma had a big falling out due to her decision to keep his blackouts a secret from him. Meanwhile, Nick Ford threatened the Bates family if Dylan didn’t cooperate in killing Zane, and Sheriff Romero tried to question Norman about Miss Watson’s death. Episode 8 concluded with Norma hooking up with George (after a pretty embarrassing meltdown) and Norman getting knocked out and kidnapped in his own home by an unfamiliar looking man.
So, where does that leave “Bates Motel” fans for episode 9?
A preview for episode 9, the last episode before the finale, shows Norma arriving home to find her son missing. “We have Norman,” a man says to Norma over the phone. And while we can’t confirm who the caller is, his voice sounds pretty similar to Nick Ford’s.
According to a synopsis for “The Box,” Norma will desperately try to connect with Norman. But it looks like she might need a little help from Dylan. After learning about his connection to Nick Ford in episode 8, Norma will tell her eldest son that “that has to end” and it’s up to him to stop it. Is she referring to the drug war in general or just Nick Ford? “Bates Motel” fans will have to wait and see, but Dylan will be left contemplating whether he should “risk his life to save a loved one.”
Meanwhile, Norman won’t be in a good place when his captors discover Miss Watson’s necklace and the newspaper clipping in his pocket. If Nick Ford is truly his captor, then Norman’s kidnapping might turn into something a little more deadly.
And as someone else starts to look into Norman’s involvement in Miss Watson’s death, Sheriff Romero will turn to a former colleague for help in determining what kind a role – if any – that Norman played in the murder of the teacher.
Episode 9 of “Bates Motel” will air on A&E on April 28 at 10 p.m. EDT. What do you think will happen in “The Box”? Let us know your thoughts and theories in the comments section or send a tweet to @AmandaTVScoop.
