"Bates Motel" returns to A&E in 2014. A&E/ Bates Motel

Love (and more than likely murder) will be in the air when “Bates Motel” returns to A&E for its second season. The latest scoop on the “Psycho” reboot is that Norman will be getting a new love interest in 2014.

According to Deadline, Paloma Kwiatkowski of “Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Sea Of Monsters” will be joining the dark series for its sophomore season. Kwiatkowski will be playing Cody Brennan, “a small town party girl who befriends Norman and bonds with him, showing him how having fun and ‘acting out’ can sublimate pain – at least for awhile.” Deadline teases that the “bond” may be romantic in nature based on the fact that executive producer Carlton Cuse “alluded that a romance was on the horizon for Norman.”

As we previously reported, Norman isn’t the only one with a love life. Norma and Dylan are both supposed to be getting some loving as well. For Norma, she’ll be meeting a “charming divorcé” named George. George will be played by “Alias” alum Michael Vartan.

Dylan’s love life on the other hand is currently a mystery – but will definitely be hot. Cuse told Comic-Con goers that Norman’s half-brother will be “having a lot of sex [in season 2.]” The blonde bad boy could also be seeing someone new … or he may be hooking up with Norman’s old flame, Bradley? (Sparks did fly between them at the end of season one!)
