Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) literally come face-to-face in the newly released sneak peek of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." In the teaser, Batman finds himself chained up as Superman's prisoner in a tense moment that leads to Superman taking off Batman's mask and revealing his identity. The clip premiered Monday night during Fox's Batman prequel series "Gotham."
Although the clip is short, there are few things fans should keep an eye out for. Here are three things you may have missed from the new "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" teaser:
1. Is Superman A Hero And A God?
In the trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," many viewed Superman as a threat to the Earth, while others looked up to him as a hero, icon and even a God. This admiration for the hero was shown in the sneak-peek clip when the men he had guarding Batman bowed before him.
2. Who Are The Other Prisoners?
Batman isn't the only one being held captive by Superman. The clip reveals there are two other people locked up next to him but it's not clear who these characters are. Could they be other villains from the DC universe or perhaps, other heroes who will eventually stand beside both Batman and Superman in the Justice League? While these two ideas are fun, it's also very possible that the two prisoners might not even be major characters in the film. Maybe the answers will come when the new trailer is released.
3. Bruce Wayne Unmasked
The most intense moment of the video is when Superman approaches Batman and takes his mask off. Wayne and Superman both stare at each other intensely, as the camera pans to the rubber Batman mask being held in Superman's hand. This is the moment where Superman discovers Batman's true identity. It will be interesting to see the conversation that follows this revealing moment.
